    What could be better than 2 whole weeks filled with gaming?  Prove to others that your hobby is more than a weekend pastime, and apply your gaming interest to learn about the different aspects of creating professional, best-selling video games.  2-week overnight program for Teens, held at prestigious universities nationwide (see below).  iD Gaming Academy guarantees small class sizes (max 8:1) taught by top-tier instructors who have degrees in the field and impressive backgrounds in professional game development, game programming, and character design.  Ages 13-18 learn personalized curriculum with a small group of peers to optimize learning and social experiences.

    Discover a gaming career while interacting with industry professionals and building a portfolio for college.  There’s never been a better or more important time to engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.  Plus, you’ll have plenty of free time to battle it out against others in gaming tournaments with Team Fortress 2 and play other games like Portal 2, Half-Life 2, Left for Dead 2, and more.  Accredited Continuing Education Units are also available from Stanford or Villanova to demonstrate that you’ve completed course content with college level difficulty.

    COURSES
    Fun, challenging courses let you dive into a variety of gaming interests.  From the intro course iD Game Studios 101 to more advanced courses, choose from one of the following five options:

    • iD Game Studios 101
    • 3D Modeling & Animation with Autodesk Maya
    • Level Design – Unreal Development Kit
    • Programming for the Xbox 360
    • Game Development for iPhone and Android with Unity

    iD GAMING ACADEMY LOCATIONS
    Teen Program Locations: Held at Vassar, TCU, Stanford, Harvard, Villanova University, Emory University, the University of Denver, and Lake Forest College in the Chicago area. Get ready for late-night gaming tournaments and tour a professional game studio.

    YEAR-ROUND LEARNING
    New for 2012, students can complement their summer experience by subscribing to iDTech365.com – a new online learning community that offers exclusive tutorials, forums, and video lessons.  And don’t forget about the FREE monthly online workshops taught by live instructors, available to iD alumni and students registered for the 2012 season.
